The system works well if your processes align with how Toast expects you to operate. However, the reporting tools are lacking and need significant improvements in analytics and reporting. The offline mode functions to a degree, but I recommend using the cellular data backup stick to avoid interruptions. The handheld devices are essential—they boost staff efficiency and nearly eliminate the need for printed receipts. The kitchen prep board also streamlines kitchen operations. Unfortunately, there’s no way to extract large amounts of data, and regular users don’t have access to the API for data dumping.
Toast is amazing! It has truly transformed my operations. The ability to accept online orders, combined with their top-notch POS hardware, has been a game changer. It’s rare to come across products today that are genuinely exceptional, but Toast is one of them.
Overall, we like Toast, but the main issue is their lack of responsiveness after the initial account setup. It would be great to see better follow-through on resolving problems.
